Glow in the dark sketchy mad science brooch. This can be used as a pendant, brooch or simply hung up somewhere to enjoy. Doubles as a glowing nightlight.
I keep thinking about adding lace ruffles, maybe on the next one. It measures just a little over 2 inches including the frame.
Good news folks!

The little bird we saw up in the tree this morning. I think it may be a lady mourning dove.
Last night I was poking through a box of old broken jewelry that I had set aside for reuse. I found a nice heavy band of unknown metal with a garish fake stone. It didn’t look like much at first, but after I removed some glue and gave it a quick shine it looked as good as new. Instead of using a stone in the setting I used copper wire to attach a triangular wooden bead. The bead was salvaged from an old necklace which I picked up on a trip to France when I was 16. I am please with the end result and it was so easy. It just goes to show with a little resourcefulness, creativity and thrift you can give an object that might seem ready for the trash a new life as treasure!
I hope this encourages you to take a second look at some of the old things you might have lying around. Get crafty! It’s the closest thing you will ever get to something for nothing. =P
